Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology

The evolution of Information technology from backyard workstations into a burgeoning industry, demands a valley of its own and has far-reaching global impact. The emergence of India as a high flying world player and the recognition of Indian IT wizards as innovators and experts have created a need for genuine IT education which can cater to ever changing needs of the industry and keep the tradition alive.

With this insight SCIT took birth in 1999 when IT industry was booming and a need was seen as that of providing post graduate IT education for developing quality IT professionals to drive the Indian economy. It was also identified that an institute needed to be so equipped as to respond to dynamic IT scenario that was vibrant and also volatile. Since then it has grown progressively and earned wide acceptance of the IT industry, students, parents and all the stakeholders and is approved by AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) and now is a constituent member of Symbiosis International University established under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, by notification No F 9-12/2001 U3 of Government of India.

SCIT is also assessed and accredited by NAAC, “National Assessment and Accreditation Council” a body set up by UGC.
